Bryan John Appleby softly tells of tales that peacefully shiver down your spine. His hauntingly beautiful voice carefully holds you close, and as an apparent tension fills the air, your fears slip away and you feel safe. Each song holds a powerful expression of himself, turmoil and all. Hidden within seems to be the memoirs of a past laden with religiosity.
For some time now I’ve thoroughly enjoyed Shoes for Beast and Men, especially his song Cliffs Along The Sea. Even more though, Fire and Vine is a masterpiece in itself and is easily a favorite.
